Lucid Dream Induction - Binaural Beat Audio

Hey folks!

Today I want to share with you a lucid dream induction video I uploaded a few months back. Its aim is to speed up the process of achieving lucidity on a consistent basis. The first 6 minutes of audio will prepare you for sleep as well as deliver a set of pre-hypnotic suggestions ("Tonight I will lucid dream", "I am the master of my dreams" etc). Stage #2 will feature a set of affirmations (after 65 mins) designed to trigger lucidity. For these to have any effect, it's important to cultivate the habit of 'reality checking' throughout the day. This way, when the suggestions are played back to you in your sleep, you will be prompted to do likewise within the dream state. It's recommended that you read the description for more details.

Obviously this is a rather complex and unpredictable area of the metaphysical arena, so I am not promising instant results. I have however received promising feedback from many subscribers who have used earlier versions of this LD induction.

I am confident therefore that this audio will prove useful for the dedicated oneironaut, be it for inducing lucidity within the session itself, or merely providing a means by which the objective of achieving lucidity can, within the subconscious mind, be given added importance.

If you want to make this tool a part of your lucid dreaming arsenal, please leave your feedback as this will be used to help make improvements for future versions.

Sigil Magic & Lucid Dreaming

This article will present an interesting and original approach towards the cultivation of dream awareness using a technique known as 'sigil-magic'. Despite the airy-fairy name, it should be noted that this technique does not require any adherence to any form of new-age dogma.

First of all, what are sigils? Sigils are a symbolic representation of a specific desire, created from an initial written statement of intent, and rendered down to visual or audible form. The sigil is then implanted into one's subconscious mind using a form of gnosis (See list below.)

The first step is to write out the intent; ''It is my will to master the art of lucid dreaming'', "It is my will to lucid dream", "It is my will to perform reality checks in my dreams" etc. Now we need to shorten the statement by  removing all vowels and repeating letters.

To render the statement further into abstract form,  draw up a sigil using the shapes of the remaining letters. Keep repeating the process, simplifying the design each time. You should end up with something that you can easily visualize. If you're artistically inclined, make the design as attractive as possible.

The reason we render the initial desire incomprehensible is because we need a way of circumventing the mind's critical faculty. To the conscious mind, lucid dreaming is a purely 'irrational' act, and so by forgetting the original intent of the operation,  we can subsequently by-pass any resistance we may have towards achieving our goal. (In hypnosis, the hypnotist will distract the subject's critical mind so that new suggestions can be implanted)

Now that you have your statement of intent rendered down to pictorial form, you need to plant it into your subconscious mind using your chosen form of gnosis. Methods include but are not limited to the following...

  • Meditation
  • Drumming
  • Chanting
  • Brain Entrainment (Theta Waves)
  • To put it bluntly...having a wank.
  • Mantras
  • Sex
  • Singing
  • Creating artwork (the act of drawing up the sigil may be enough if you really put the effort into it)
  • Gazing (crystal balls, pools, mirrors, a random spot on the wall)
  • Dancing
  • Riding rollercoasters!

Visualise the sigil in your mind's eye and keep it there for the duration of the session. What you are looking to achieve is a state of deep gnosis ("no-mind") through which the symbolic intent can take root. During this process, your mind will absorbing the hidden meaning unconsciously, and will "remember" it subliminally. When you’re done, eliminate the sigil from your consciousness, and forget about the whole thing. If it keeps cropping up in your mind, simply turn your thoughts onto something else.

Alternatively, you could rearrange the remaining letters to form a sigilized mantra and chant this until a state of vacuity is achieved. You could even combine it with the visualisation method...be creative.

These quick-fire methods are not your only option however. You could instead draw your sigil out on some paper, and pin it up on your wall, the corner of your TV/laptop etc. The tricky part lies in forgetting the original intent, but over time,  the sigil will blend into your surroundings until you barely notice it, and this is when it'll take root.

One final suggestion I'd like to make is to draw up a sigil from the statement, ''It is my will to lucid dream", and to use the symbol to perform reality checks throughout the day or just before you fall asleep (tip: visualize it as you fall asleep)
